Jennifer Lindsay designed Shetland Fern for The Natural Knitter, Barbara Albright's new and beautiful book on knitting with natural fibers.  Jennifer uses Shetland 2000, an all natural, undyed Shetland wool available in nine shades, to evoke the design of ferns she "observed growing in a meadow on St. Ninian's, a tiny island just off Shetland's mainland island."  The pattern reinterprets the ferns' "finely cut leaves, and luxuriant, swirling growth habit" into a design that "explodes into a large and dramatic OXO pattern."The Shetland Fern yarn pack uses five shades of our Shetland 2000 yarn - Shetland White, Mooskit, Shaela, Moorit, and Shetland Black. The yarn pack includes the yarn only (not the book, needles, or notions).
